This will be my first blog and hopefully the first new year resolution that I keep. My project for 2010 is to take a photograph a day. The objective of this project is to improve my photography skills and to document the year - a day at a time.

Day 33 - Any excuse for cake :)



My first dessert themed picture for this week. I took the opportunity to buy a piece of my favorite cake - yellow cake and white frosting. YUM! I placed the plate on a piece of white foam board and used an on camera flash (Canon 430EX II aimed at the ceiling with a reflector pointing it back down over the cake. Appeture was set at f/8 on my Canon 24-105mm lens zoomed in to 88mm. That's it for now - gotta run and finish my cake :)
